Thinking of Spring

This is one of those fun paintings that I made couple of days back. Its a simple painting with some nice bright colors that cheers me any time. May be its the colors!

Funny part is that though we get fresh oranges and juice all through the year, this just makes me think of Spring ... which we long for here in Wisconsin!

Bowl of Cherries

I had completed this painting couple of weeks back and had not taken a picture of it for quite sometime. Finally this morning clicked a snap and now I am here to post it on my blog!

Three and a Half Apricots

I know its been about a week that I have not posted any new paintings. Which did bother me a little, but did not want to hurry to finish one. Took my time and worked on this painting until I felt it was enough :). Though this might not be a perfect painting, I did have few learning's with this.

That said... herez Three and a Half Apricots.

This painting has few layers more than any of my previous paintings. First layer or two were focused on values and later added colors to it. This needed a lot of patience but was fun!!!

A Cup of Coffee

Here comes my next painting - A Cup of Coffee. I have been working on this for most part of this week and gave the final touches this morning. This time I tried to do away with green and used cool blues for the background.

I have always been scared of painting cups and this was an attempt to overcome it.

Broken Egg

Now, I feel that an egg is a very interesting subject to paint. Planing to paint more of these this year. Until then bear with this one :)
